Closing involves the formal transfer from buyer to seller, and we will help you enter the closing agreement with all the necessary documents and information.

Who is Involved in a Real Estate Closing?

At closing, the lender, buyer, seller, and one of our closing attorneys will be present. Our job as your real estate attorney is to make sure that all the necessary documents are accurate, signed, and verified.

What Should I Bring?

When it’s time for the actual closing, you’ll need to bring a few items to complete the paperwork. While different lenders may require that you bring different things, you should always bring a government issued ID, a certified check for your down payment and closing costs. If you are married, your spouse will also need to come with you to the closing and bring their ID as well.

Responsibilities For The Buyer

One of our Hampden Title closing attorneys will negotiate the terms of the closing contract as well as examine financing and insurance options for your. We can also represent the buyer in any other matters related to the transaction that you may need.

Responsibilities For The Seller

If you are a seller who is utilizing our real estate closing services, we will focus primarily on document preparation for the closing. We will ensure that the titled, insurance documents, and payoff letters are all accurate and finalized. Visit our document preparation page to learn more about this process.
